Can You Survive With Salary RM3,000 If You Have Family? [ March 16th, 2010 ] | 252 views | Leave a Comment

Do you think that you can survive with salary RM3,000 in Malaysia nowadays. Based on my personal survey, I noticed that in Malaysia, the average family income is RM3,000 per month. But, I do understand that there are still many families whose monthly income does not reach RM3,000.

In order to make calculation simple, let’s take RM3,000 as the figure:

Electricity bill: RM40 (Assume no air-con, no water heater)

Water bill: RM10

Phone bill: RM100

Family meal: RM900 (3 meals on RM30/day)

Car repayment: RM450 (A Perodua Myvi, 5 years repayment)

Petrol fees: RM150-200

House repayment: RM550 (Assume living in low medium cost apartment)

Personal insurance: RM400 (combination of you and your wife)

Total monthly expenses: RM2,650

All the above calculation have not taken into account when you have own children. Besides, the EPF and income tax haven’t deducted. So, do you think family with salary RM3,000 enough to survive? Obviously, you will say cannot, am I right?

Effect of Global Fuel Price Increase

As you known, current fuel price is RM1.92 per liter for RON97 petrol and RM1.88 for RON92. Diesel is RM1.58 per liter now. But lets me emphasize about this issues more in advanced before nation election since I can foresee what will be happened next…

For my situation, even 2 wheels Honda with approximately 3 liter fuel tank would cost me >RM5 to fill up now. With about 5-7 fill-ups a month. Are you confusing with 2-wheels Honda? Haha…It’s Motorbike Honda EX 5 la…

If fuel price continue increased for the following years, then may be I will use bicycle to do my errands. As u known, fuel price hikes, but car prices and taxes never drop down. No balance, somebody gotta import civic hybrid or Toyota prius instead.

It’s inevitable, we can complain day & nite, but its a worldwide move, everywhere prices of petrol goes up, that’s why this is the most headache part for the car’s driver, thus try don’t buy a thirsty car!

The greatest downfall of our nation is “Malaysians tak apalah boleh makan cukuplah”. If they still maintain this kind of attitude, then it’s time for them to change! If not, more challenging life will be coming soon.

How to Withdraw Paypal Fund?

As everybody known, you can easy withdraw your Paypal fund to debit card, or prepaid cards. The process only involves 3 steps.
i. Log into paypal
ii. Specify the amount to withdraw and the card to credit.

Recently im busy on migrating from Dave’s Corner blog (under blogspot) to imDavidLee.com (own domain & hosting), which is involves 9 phases of major construction. I just want to assure that imDavidLee.com still exist although there’ve about 9 days didn’t perform any updating on my content.

Nothing much can say here and would like to thanks for all my loyalty visitor and to whom (new visitors) I may not have free time to say hello to them.

New Year 2008 is a good start for me and therefore I will not miss any chances, which may lead to financial freedom unless it is beyond my current potential.
