The More We Spend The Higher Rate of Return On Investment Needed [ September 2nd, 2010 ] | 84 views | Leave a Comment

I believe that those who are ‘thrify‘ will grow wealthy, and those who are ‘spendthrifts‘ will become poor. During my school time, i already have a game of adhering to my budget in which saving 50 cents out of my pocket money. As i known, the discipline of being able to control our spending and save consistently would make us success in the later stage.

big spend

For those who are from top management level who earn more than RM10k per month does not necessary that they can live wealthy. Let’s take an example, the managing director of a multinational corporation, who was earning RM120k per year. Given his hefty income, we expected him to have great substancial amount of money over the years, right? However, sometimes we may found that quite a great number of them whose total assets actually is less than RM500k while the net worth is less than RM200k. Plus, more than 70% of his net worth was from EPF savings.

Average Rated G-Hotel Buffet

Quite some time did not update my personal life here…Just to share with you that yesterday I went to celebrate 1 of my work colleagues farewell party with lunch buffet at G-Hotel.

At first, when we go through the lobby and the cafe…The environment look very nice and modern but if want to criticize on food and desserts, it definitely take me some time to do that. Hence, I just simply go through with you.

Environment

Wow!! How scrumptious looking of the desserts! But the taste so so la…

Buffet

Actually, there were so few of varieties and the taste of food didn’t impress me much and I only took 1 round of it and 2 or 3 round of desserts because I like sweet ma…I may not feel regret since I didn’t spent most of my time for visiting the toilet. (No “Lau Sai”At All)  But, I may feel dissatisfy, and may be no more such suggestion on next time. (Seriously)

Their service can be considered OK and no annoying thing happen. Overall, it is not worth the price at all…

Kindly suggest me where can I enjoy better buffet in town besides Golden Sands Hotel?

It’s truly to say that fake money issue is a common topic discussion across worldwide countries.

How to assure that there is fake money?

Compare the note to another that you are sure is not fake. Closely examine the printing, the patterns, the colors, the text and the feel of the paper. Hold the note up to a lamp and look for the verification strip. Special marking pen can help you to verify the note’s authenticity also.

Apple iPhone or Sony Ericsson P1i

Mac OS vs Symbian

I plan to change phone at the month of May but till now still unable to make up my mind to purchase either a smartphone with Mac OS or Symbian. Just my 0.02, if you are heavier use on WiFi and Bluetooth then it sure consumes a lot of battery capacity. So if you want to go for days without recharging the battery, then you’d better go for a Symbian.

Country Heights Grower Scheme

It is an opportunity for the Investor to participate in the oil palm in Malaysia since Malaysia produces the best oil palm so far, and oil palm is a consumable product to the world population because it’s not expensive and it’s naturally very safe to use.

Through this kind of investment:

- 1 plot is equivalent to RM 5,500. The minimum investment is 1 plot (1/4 acre).

- The projected annual return is range from 11% to 15% on the 4th year onwards. However, during the first 3 years, investors will be getting a fixed annual return of 8% per year.

- After the 23rd years of tenure period, investors might only obtain capital appreciation if there have buyback from Management Company or other buyer with a good price.

- Investor will not own the land because they are actually owning the trust. However, it is held by the Trustee. Investors basically are tight for 23 years period unless another person willing to take up the trust or buying from them.

From my understanding and analysis, there may have some risk:

Invest Based On Your Risk Appetite

Most of the people can create income, but what about preserving income? I can see most of the people nowadays only know to spend money but do not have any idea to save money for future usage. Yes, you must have your own savings as well, then you can grow your saving and turn it into investment.

To invest, it is depends on your risk appetite.
My Investment Analysis

Unit Trust

Apart from being a software engineer, I am also a loyalty unit trust investor of Public Mutual Berhad. I have personally invested in unit trust, and my returns are good for a short period of time.

Different between ASB & Unit Trust

I have invested in ASB also but do you know what is the different between ASB and Unit Trust?? These 2 are not a short-term investment. ASB payout is about 6.8% only and you need to keep it there for a year. It is a close ended, and you buy RM1 and sell it at RM1, it just pay you the dividend. Whereas Unit Trust is an open ended and you can buy RM1 and may be will sell it below the initial price.
