Do You Think RM50 Credit Card Tax Should Be Dropped?

cancel_credit_card

As we can see, the number of credit cards usage had been increased since year 1997. At the same time, the number of people get into debt also been increased. Our government had responded to that issue and proposes that principal credit card service tax of RM50 per year and supplementary credit card service tax of RM25 per year be imposed in order to encourage our citizen to have prudent spending. It will be effective from 1st January 2010.

Many people are not happy with that suggestion. This is bad news for those who own multiple credit cards and it is advisable to do cancellation of their card so that they won’t be taxed next year. Just imagine how crazy of our government: RM50 (service tax) + RM50 (annual fee usually more than that amount), this is only for single card. If you have more, the amount will be crazy!

However, this service tax will not be imposed immediately on January 2010 for all credit cards. For those existing credit card holders and their renewal date is at the end of the years. Then, they still got time to enjoy benefits.

Gold Coins Investment Better Than Stock?

goldcoin

If you are planning to diversify your investments portfolio, then you can try to do gold investment. Most of the people believe that gold investment is a good investment. 1 of my client had bought gold as their investment before and made roughly around 10%-15% for the investment which is better than fixed deposit.

For me, gold investment is another good option that you may try to consider in order to diversify your investment risk. If you are medium to long term investors then it may suit you since it is a moderate risk kind of investment.

My Review on the Gold Investment Market

Based on what i known, i can say that gold investment has grown dramatically in this few years, but it is still just a tiny proportion if you compare with the stock investment.

Gurney Plaza Car Parking Rates

gurney_car_park_rates

There are a lots of malls that in Penang Island like Queensbay Mall, Gurney Plaza, Timesquare, One Stop, Bukit Jambul Shopping Mall, Prangin Mall and etc but for now I tend to hang out at Gurney Plaza. However, Gurney Plaza car park rates a bit higher if compared to other shopping malls.

As I know, the Gurney Plaza car parking rates is as below:
i) Multi-storey car park
- RM1.00 per 1st 3 hours. Then, continued by RM1.00 for subsequent hour. (Monday - Friday.
- RM3.00 per 1st 3 hours. Then, continued by RM1.00 for subsequent hour. (Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday)

ii) Basement car park
- RM1.50 per 1st hour. Then continued by RM1.00 for subsequent hour.

Overall, it’s way too high for public to park their car there and I personally suggest to have RM3 per entry for unlimited hours of parking!
