High Income Earner Financial Management

financial_management

Last time, my ex-employer manager told me that his friend can earn RM20k salary per month. But, do you feel that he can save lot money from his income? Based on his situation, after deducting tax and EPF, he gets only RM12k++ per month, and he mention that his living cost is quite high as he owns a Honda Accord and a RM600k home in KL. He likes to play golf as well and all in all expenses about RM11k per month. Thus, he manages to save only less than RM1k per month for a rainy day. Do you think he is good in financial management?

In my opinion, if the job that a person is doing now is for his/her passion, then it’s fine. With RM 20k income per month, monthly EPF should be around RM 4,600 (RM2,200 + RM2,400) and around RM 55,200 per year. After retired, the EPF amount probably will be around RM 1 million. Probably that is the reason he/she saves only RM 1k per month.

Station One Café Christmas Promotion 2009

station 1 cafe

Just know that Station One Cafe is having promotion for Christmas set meal on 24th & 25th December. I am sure this promotion made Station One Cafe full of lovers during Christmas day. So it’s better you go earlier so that you can get the Free Bear on that day to avoid the stock last. I never dine in Station 1 Café before but now this promotion is really great for me to consider.

As I known, this Station 1 Café served western food, fusion food, local food, snacks, dessert, beverages and beer. From my friend’s experience, he said that he couldn’t believe that it was a great place to hang out and it’s even better than Halo Cafe! For your information, they have live singing performance at the café where singers were performing mostly slow and popular songs from English to Mandarin.

Perodua_mpv

Perodua_mpv

The competition between Proton and Perodua is never ending. Recently, quite a lot of forumers actively discussed about the upcoming Perodua MPV - Perodua Alza and some of them make comparison between new Perodua MPV and Proton Exora. As I known, Perodua always make sure that they are not left behind. Some more, we can see that they’re intending to venture into a different market segment and compete head to head with Proton. Nothing much we can compare now, let us see the exterior and interior of Perodua MPV:

Perodua_mpv

Based on the picture shown, I guess this new Perodua MPV could be sized something between the Toyota Avanza and the Grand Livina and be priced near the RM55-70k level.

Based on the overview of the Perodua MPV interior, we can see that the interior looks spacious enough. I think it can fit 7 passengers in comfort. Read More …

Happy Chinese New Year

What would you do during Chinese New Year? Traditionally, Chinese families would visit everyone else’s family by going over to their houses and giving their blessings. I never got how everyone manages the logistics because if everyone is out for visiting others, who is at home? Actually, anyone who is married couples will give red pockets to single. So, I still can have this chance to receive “Ang Pau”.

Ang Pau

December to February is always a fun few months because of Christmas, my birthday and Chinese New Years. Celebration or not, personal finance is still key. While it’s easy to forget about responsible spending when we are happy and in “celebration mode”, remember that a little fun is always good but excessive spending is disastrous!

Malaysian Salary Survey

Based on Malaysian Salary Survey from Jobstreet.com, I found that the software engineer would have better salary than web developer from different level of position. However, I will work as web developer cum admin from now onwards. The reason is because I can foresee good future there and chances of job mobility are higher.

Malaysian Salary Survey

This could be my great move since I can fully focus to do something towards my future business. As this is new chapter of my life, I will use my patience to overcome and solve any critical issue that may arise. I do hope that there will be my good place for me to learn something and contribute to the company at the same time.

All what I had done is to ensure that my year 2009 aims to be achieved…I wish to see something that may bring impressive feeling to others before this year-end.

Nikon D40 Affordable DSLR Camera

Nikon has often been known as a leader in the photo industry, but when talk about Nikon DSLR camera, then for sure people would think about “expensive”.

Nikon D40

But, that was officially changed with the Nikon D40. I bought it at a price of just MYR 1450, bundled with an 18-55mm kit lens. Meanwhile, I managed to get free gift – 4GB SD card, lens filter, screen protector and Nikon camera bag. I would like to thanks iCalvyn and Sherying for giving me such useful information.

Why I More Prefer Nikon D40 ?

My Year 2008 Achievement & Year 2009 Plan

year20082009

Year 2008 almost come to the end, what I had done in this year? The only thing that makes me felt proud is ability of making a lot of money from Internet. Using Internet to generate US$ and I keep on telling people that I can earn US$ even I stay in Malaysia…Haha…Sounds a bit lansi, right?

How Much I Earned From Internet ?

To be frankly for you, I started my personal blog with own domain and hosting since January of 2008. And my blog started earning money since May of 2008. My average earning is about MYR 377/month (Total Internet Income/ 12 months). However, I still not yet count advertising earning into this total Internet income.

What Is My Next Year Plan ?

My next year plan would be tougher plan for me to achieve. I plan to make and maintain US$ 100 per month; this should not be a big obstacle if based on my current blog’s potential. But, the only problem that I may encounter is hardly to attract and maintain 500 visitors per day. This is important to increase my blog’s traffic and subsequently may increase my Internet earning.

Besides that, I always do hope that I can get my Google Page Rank 3 back as I rely so much on it to get advertiser attention. This is my Internet weapon and that’s the reason I always say Google Is My Boss.

Running Internet business will be my next source of my multiple income plans. I will plan to work together with my partner to do some web application business since he has a lot of ideas and marketing skills. I have several good domains in hands and planning to sell it out to gain some profit. Meanwhile, I will keep on doing domain investment.

For my fixed salary job, I am doing something to change my career path, and looking for more competitive task to do rather than always stick to the same and cannot see the next move. I hope that this time is my most suitable job towards my future business. Although people think that it’s not a great time to make such decision during this recession but I feel that they are wrong and we should not take only this as one of the factors to determine your future goals.

What To Buy & Where To Travel During Recession ?
