Can You Survive With Salary RM3,000 If You Have Family? [ March 16th, 2010 ] | 298 views | Leave a Comment

Do you think that you can survive with salary RM3,000 in Malaysia nowadays. Based on my personal survey, I noticed that in Malaysia, the average family income is RM3,000 per month. But, I do understand that there are still many families whose monthly income does not reach RM3,000.

In order to make calculation simple, let’s take RM3,000 as the figure:

Electricity bill: RM40 (Assume no air-con, no water heater)

Water bill: RM10

Phone bill: RM100

Family meal: RM900 (3 meals on RM30/day)

Car repayment: RM450 (A Perodua Myvi, 5 years repayment)

Petrol fees: RM150-200

House repayment: RM550 (Assume living in low medium cost apartment)

Personal insurance: RM400 (combination of you and your wife)

Total monthly expenses: RM2,650

All the above calculation have not taken into account when you have own children. Besides, the EPF and income tax haven’t deducted. So, do you think family with salary RM3,000 enough to survive? Obviously, you will say cannot, am I right?

Full Time Blogger Income More Than IT Programmer, Possible?

Different bloggers have different mindset and that is the reason why there is an increase in number of paid products released by bloggers like e-books, e-courses, membership sites etc. It’s better than just sticking to Adsense on your blog.

Blogging is not just about making money, but it sure is a nice bonus. There’s no barrier of entry to become a blogger, where as programmers require real occupational training.

Previously, I was an embedded software engineer, which is not my interest field exactly. After I started blogging, I realize it has more potential than any other job looking at the current scenario. Besides, I can work according to my time schedule. Be my own boss.
In short I can live with my own life.

Make Money Online Without Using Home Internet

After 1 year with the domain name imDavidLee.Com, this blog has good rank and it’s made money also. For the coming days, I will have own Internet connection at home thus I will be more flexible to handle my personal blog and perhaps make more money this year. Then, I can plan to buy my decent house and dream car without using my fixed employment income.

If you did follow my previous articles, you may know that i can make more than US$100 since May 2008. Although it’s just a small amount for professional blogger, but for newbie living in Malaysia it is big money.

My 1st Online Income

Say No To RM !!

Yeah! Previously, many people concern about me whether I have any progress with doing the Internet stuff in order to generate some extra income. At that time, I only build up my networking relationship and traffics but this time I have proven the way of making some bucks from Internet.

Although the amount that I have earned is not much but I felt quite happy with it since it is not the 1^st time earn money from Internet but also can earn 3 times (Because im earning USD while im spending in Ringgit Malaysia). Hopefully can make more and more in future! Now waiting for next month income…Definitely will be more since putting in lots of effort!! Haha…
